Do you think people should give up a little of their money and freedom to the government to get some security?

Especially after 9/11. After all we live in a dangerous world. Isn’t the government there to take care of us, and to protect us from evil terrorists? Shouldn’t we be willing to do whatever the government wants?

Does having money equal freedom?

Obviously being locked up with money is not freedom, but i’m talking about in normal life circumstances. An average person that’s in a relatively free country. With money you have more choices in what to buy, what to do, how to do it, whether to work or not, etc. It does not equal happiness because they may have issues not dealt with but doesn’t it equal freedom? especially freedom of choice.
